Immediately after leaving Spa Creek, spotted a two masted historic replica vessel, a schooner, out past R"4", perhaps at Y"A" or beyond, headed down the Bay. Could it be Pride of Baltimore II? Decided to give chase. The vessel altered course for the Bay Bridge flying topsail, mainsail...did not see any other sails from the stern view of the vessel. Developed sea state with a wave period of about 2 to 3 seconds from the south. Rather bouncy ride.A After passing R"4" (1nm away), cut inside Y"A" (1.3nm) to aim at the vessel transom. Closed to within 0.56nm by the time that she reached the Bay Bridge. Turned back at that point. The vessel turned out to the Sultana.
