One of the cowls of the two cowl vents of the lazarette had been lost some time ago. The second was lost while racing this summer.
Purchased two SeaDog Low Profile Cowl Vent
from Defender. Installed same using the existing hole and fasteners.
Trimmed the deck mounting rings to match the non-textured portion of the aft deck, just as the previously installed rings had been trimmed.
Applied silicone sealant to the screw holes.
The through-deck sections were a very tight fit into the deck-mounted rings.
Applied silicone lubricant to the inside of the rings and the outside of the through-deck sections.
The two pieces went together with moderate pressure. Should stay in place quite well.
