Began this season's longboarding using a 24" Dura-Gold Longboard with 80grit Dura-Gold Roll Sandpaper . Considerably easier than last year. Paint is coming off easier and more evenly than in the past. Will take this as a sign that the bottom is fairer than previously. Breathing deeply after only five minutes. Wearing a t-shirt and jeans under the Tyvek suit.

Longboarded from the bow aft to half the distance of the flat portion of the keel in 90 minutes of work. Quite surprised at the rate of progress.

Note: the bottom colors are, from the outermost inward:

  1. orange: three coats Trinidad XSR , each 2mil thick, 6mil total originally.
  2. red: two coats Trinidad Pro , each 2mil thick, 4mil total originally.
  3. white: one coat Petit Protect , 4mil thick originally.
  4. gray: one coat Petit Protect , 4mil thick originally.
  5. dark gray: resin applied to the hull as a barrier coat some time in the past originally.
