Installed Velocitek Prostart bracket on the aft 7/8" wide flat of the mast below the boom track using two #8-32 screws. Dipped screws into lanolin before install. Placed electrical tape between bracket and mast. Both to prevent electrolysis.
Used a length of Lash-It to create a tether for the Prostart . Brummel spliced to create a small eye to cowhitch/lark's head to the molded in loop of the Prostart. Brummel spliced the other end to create a loop that passed from the molded in loop, through the hollow of the bracket, and just passes over the Prostart to cowhitch/lark's head the Prostart to the bracket. Should someone drop the Prostart after unclipping it, the Lash-It will keep the unit aboard.
