Sailed on a close reach, nearly a beat, from the entrace to Eastport to near Normans on Kent Island, about 5.4nm on 120 degrees. Tacked over to port and sailed back to the area between Horn Point and the Naval Academy on 300 degrees. Return from area of 5 to 6 feet of depth off Normans to area between Horn Point and the Naval Academy took one hour. Wonderful sailing. Boat felt good, comfortable in the water and the moderate breeze.
- Raised the jib in the starboard groove of the Furlex. Tried the port groove but there was too much resistance to raising the sail. Apparently need to clean out the port groove.
- Seems to be best to furl the jib on port tack. Seems to furl more easily and produce a better furl.
- Lubed upper swivel of the Furlex.
- Added bottles of water and twenty-four granola bars to the boat's supplies.
- Need to tighten the raw water pump fan belt. (Done on 2016-07-04)
- Need sunscreen.
