Tacked out of the Severn in five(?) boards. Easy, lazy sail out 100 yards beyond R "2". Close hauled back to make R "2", then fell off to a beam reach towards the state capital, later falling off a bit more to clear Horn Point .
On the reach back in, worked to neutralize the helm, remove as much weather helm as possible. Did not get the helm fully neutral. What I did achieve by dropping the traveler all the way and easing the main was to increase speed, as reported by the GPSMAP 192C , from 4.8 knots to 5.2.
Is the boat faster on starboard than on port?
Checked all the navigation lights after returning to Yacht Haven Annapolis. Bow light not working. Must have disconnected it while cleaning, and stripping excess wiring from, the port side of the cabin. Resolved on 2016-07-13.
Off the Boatyard for a couple to pints.
