Disconnected electrical charging cord. Removed all dock lines.
The rental boats that are usually tied up at the ChartHouse opposite the slip are gone. Lots of space. Pushed back out of the slip and backed Constance down the alley way to Spa Creek. Needed a bit of work at first, had to push off the ChartHouse piling once and off the Yacht Haven Annapolis pilings once, but after than no troubles. Run a bit in reverse, get a little movement, back to neutral, repeat as needed to maintain momentum.
Headed up to Smith's. Running engine at 2,600 RPM, making 5.5 or more after the turn at the Naval Academy. After clearing the Severn River bridge at the Naval Academy, rolled out the jib to try motorsailing. That got us up to 6.2 knots, at times, at the same engine speed. Arrived at Smith's at about 17:50. Stayed right in the middle of the channel indicated by the private marks in the creek. Thinnest water was 6 feet. Most of the time, 7 feet. Tied up at slip C-10.
Changed engine oil and filter; changed transmission oil. For full details see 2016 Winterization
