Before sailing, replaced the filter in the Racor 110A. Took twenty minutes and some two hundred strokes of the hand priming level on the fuel pump to get diesel flowing out of the bleed screw on the engine mounted fuel filter.
Sailed up the Severn River. Seemed that the wind would change direction as the boat approached the shore, heading the boat and forcing us down onto a lower course. Significant current running downstream. Sailed up the Severn to the area of Carrollton Manor, above Sullivan Cove. Breeze varied from 6 knots downstream to 17, gusting up and falling back. Never long enough to reef. Just enough to make one decide that reefing might the right move, and then dropping down below the need to reef.
Motored at 2,600RPM from the Sullivan Cove to dock, taking about 90 minutes. Pushed the engine to 3,000RPM to verify that replacing the Racor 110A filter addressed the problem experienced on 2017-09-05
