Issue with the jib furler, difficult to furl, difficult to deploy. Found a single? halyard wrap at the top. Was able to deploy by hand, drop the jib, clear the wrap, and re-hoist. Fixed.
Easy first sail of the season out past Y "A" twice. Tacking down river as usual. Compass angles of 120d and 210d, which seem to be common as well, by memory. The Oliver Hazard Perry had moved from being anchored in the Severn during the Wednesday Night Races to being docked at the Naval Academy. Enough wind out near the mouth of the river to have a significant bubble in the main.
Speeds under engine: 4kts at 2,000rpm and 5kts at 2,500rpm. Bottom may be foul comparing these numbers to previously recorded results and the speed at 2000rpm recorded on 2017-10-27. Had asked Patrick of Diver for Hire to clean the bottom. No indication that he did. No card. No bill. No indication.
Saw Acadia arrive in Annapolis under power and anchor in Spa Creek off the Academy.
