Interrupt mainsail, Tatus II genoa. The 135LP would have been better.

Need to get faster at putting a reef in the main. Just takes too long. Current procedure is: roll up the genoa, come into the wind, drop the main and two slides to position the ring onto the reefing hook, raise the main, reef the clew using the reefing line, trim the main, roll out the headsail. Just takes too long.

Only lee I could find to flake the mainsail today was Ego Alley. Beside the buildings of the Naval Academy, the wind was less, but as the boat moved towards City Dock, the winds increased again, while the main was already on deck. Turned into Ego Alley, upwind, to get the lee beside the Marriott and Pusser's. Surprised a number of folks to be reefing there.
