Sails: 135LP genoa and Pandora main. Backstay at 3.

Leah recommended that we go sailing despite her being a bit affected by a chest cold.

Set sail before reaching Horn Point. Soon after began chasing a Cape Dory 28, which has a PHRF rating around 219, or owing us 12 seconds per mile. Overtook her and pulled ahead before reaching the Y"AN", the weather buoy. Outdistanced a Sabre 362 as well...crazy.

We turned round and headed in as soon as she said it was time. Asked a number of times. On the way in, sailed past the upwind end of the J/30 Nationals course, watching the spinnakers of the fleet running down to the bottom marks.

A very pleasant sail despite the late start. The motor arrived in force as we neared R"4" on the way back in. Dropped sail and motored in.
