Sails: Elliott/Pattison Sailmakers 169LP genoa and spinnaker, and Pandora main. Backstay at 3.

Downwind start. Started at the pin end of the line by perhaps a minute late. Skybird started closer to mid-line and kept a higher course, closer to the southwest side of the river. Confronted wakes from power boats much of the way out. Gained and lost significant ground on Skybird during the downwind leg. Gained meaningfully at the end of the leg as Skybird came in too high and had to sail up the Bay some four lengths to round the mark. Out spinnaker trim was poor. Should have had the pole farther back on the leg. Corrected that only towards the end of the leg.

Decent upwind boards...gaining on Skybird. We went right near to Whitehall Bay while Skybird went left. We cleared Y"A", R"4" and finished at R"8" with a bit of room to spare. Skybird had to shoot both R"4" and the committee boat to finish at R"8". Shame that we did not get the chance to race to the drawbridge.
