- Dropped off the Elliott/Pattison Sailmakers
169LP genoa at Bacon's for repair of worn out cloth on the foot near the tack.
- Removed the rudder shoe and rebedded it in Marine Adhesive Sealant 4000 UV
. Bacon's did not have 4200FC
in the store. Very good idea. The material that I used on 2024-03-12 seems to have washed away.
- Applied FSR
to the topsides, but for the transom.
- Washed the hull, topsides and below the waterline, in preparation for applying Trinidad XSR
.
- Looked at using the new Bosch Colt 1HP router to remove damaged material in the starboard bow toerail. One support of the bow pulpit is in the way at the front end of the section that must be replaced.
- Measured the depth of several red (unsanded) spots on the starboard hull...depths range are >3mil, >5mil, and >10mil. (see photos below.)
Area selected on the hull for measurement using a Millers Falls Micrometer Depth Gauge with 2-1/2" long base:
Forward unsanded spot of measurement area. >10mil shallow.
Middle unsanded spot inline above jackstand. >5mil shallow.
Aft unsanded spot inline above jackstand. 2mil shallow.
