2019 Winterization
- Electrical:
- Charge batteries fully. 2019-11-17
- Engine:
- Propylene glycol run through heat exchanger. 2019-11-07 and 2019-12-06 (after changing the engine oil)
- Raw water strainer and basket cleaned and removed from engine to prevent the propylene glycol from damaging the plastic. 2019-11-17
- Changed engine oil (Shell Rotella T
15W40, 2 quarts) and filter (Yanmar) 2019-12-06
- Two raw water pump bolts (12mm heads) removed, greased, and replaced loosely. 2019-12-22
- Removed impeller from raw water pump; tied impeller to pump housing. 2019-12-22
- Removed fan belts from engine, set them on the salon table. 2019-12-22
- General:
- Brought salon cushions home. 2019-11-07
- Brought v-berth cushions home. 2019-11-17
- Pumped fresh water tank dry. 2019-11-07
- Added one and a half gallons of propylene glycol to the fresh water tank. Pumping failed to suck glycol into the fresh water hoses, at least could not see any liquids in the clear hose in the hanging locker. 2019-11-07
- Applied Boeshield T-9
to all turnbuckles.
- Head:
- Removed plug from aft side of the base of the head to fully drain the bowl. 2019-11-17
- Hull:
- Sails and Running Rigging:
- Brought "original" LP150 genoa, mainsail, and spinnaker home. 2019-11-07
- Brought LP170 genoa and "original" spinnaker home. 2019-11-17
- Removed jib and mainsail 2019-12-08
- Mainsail cover stored aboard. 2019-12-08
- Replaced main halyard with red 2mm halyard leader
