2020 Winterization
- Engine:
- Changed engine oil (Shell Rotella T
15W40, 2 quarts) and filter (Yanmar) 2020-12-11
- Changed engine coolant. 2020-12-24
- Ran engine after changing oil and coolant to verify. Needed an ounce or two more coolant after running. 2020-12-24
- Propylene glycol run through heat exchanger. 2020-12-24
- Raw water strainer and basket cleaned and removed from engine to prevent the propylene glycol from damaging the plastic. Plastic body and wire strainer in sink. 2020-12-24
- Two raw water pump bolts (12mm heads) removed, greased, and replaced loosely. 2020-12-24
- Removed impeller from raw water pump; impeller in sink. 2020-12-24
- Removed fan belts from engine, set them on the salon table. 2020-12-24
- Sails and Running Rigging:
- All unbent sails brought home.
- Removed jib and mainsail, reefing lines, reefing hardware, spinnaker sheets. Main and its reefing lines and hardware in mailsail bag. Spinnaker sheets in spinnaker bag. 2020-12-13
- Mainsail cover in mainsail bag. 2020-12-13
- Battens and outhaul with mainsail in its bag. 2020-12-13
- Tied down jib furler upper swivel so that it can't be sky'ed. 2020-12-13
- Replaced main halyard with 1/4" dacron polyester rope (red whippings). 2020-12-22
- Replaced spinnaker halyard with 1/4" dacron polyester rope (green whippings). 2020-12-22
- Replaced spinnaker topping lift and foreguy with 1/4" dacron polyester rope (white whippings). 2020-12-22
- General:
- Brought salon cushions home.
- Brought v-berth cushions home.
- Head:
- Removed plug from aft side of the base of the head to fully drain the bowl. 2020-12-24
- Pumped out holding tank. 2020-12-24
